Footpath - obstructed by hedges

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3242772.
The hedges outside 24A Northampton Road are overgrown and blocking access to the path. Pedestrians can only walk in single file, mums with with large buggies or prams and people with disabled buggies are forced onto the grass which can become very slippery and muddy

Thank you for your enquiry, concerning overgrown vegetation in this area. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Unfortunately it is therefore the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next month. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the months’ notice period.
