Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the road markings in this section of road. Our inspector has advised that although there is some degree of fading; there are no immediate safety concerns evident. We will continue to monitor the area as part of our routine inspections (usually monthly for road markings). In the meantime, priority will be given to safety critical road markings. This will then be re-reviewed in the springtime.

If the inspector was on foot then lines may be evident, BUT as a driver looking through a clean windscreen even, does not show any visible lines to mark road positioning for vehicles. This junction also is used for U turns for vehicles going back towards Kettering so they may enter the industrial estate a few hundred metres previous to the junction. In wet conditions, any lines become even less visible too.
