The surface dressing of the A5199 through Thornby is failing

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Peter Moyes at 10:10, Thursday 20 January 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3254018.

I have discussed this problem with Martin Jenkins several times over the last few months. Before Christmas it became apparent that the chips were separating from the tarmac and a road sweeper cleared the loose chips away just before Christmas. Now, three weeks later, the road is in a similar state. The surface dressing is failing and needs urgent attention. Vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, animals and properties are being damaged or injured by flying stones. Please will you ring me to discuss. PM - Chair - Thornby Parish meeting
