120cm x 50cm x 20cm crater
Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 14:35, Sunday 23 January 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3260698.
The whole edge of the road has collapsed creating a substantial pot hole. The damage has been caused by HS2 vehicles turning on and off the road. They have destroyed the road completely. The hole now extends into the middle of the road and last night driving in the dark I hit the hole and punctured two tyres. HS2 have previously dumped gravel there but all that has done is disguise the edge of the road making if difficult to spot the hole in the dark until you are upon it. The road has been deteriorating for a year but the combination of recent heavy goods vehicle movements and winter freezes has exacerbated the problem causing the crater to grow.. The pot hole is opposite the compound entrance on the Claydon Road that runs south out of Lower Boddington. Please fix this urgently as it is a real hazard.
