A very prickly hedge

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3260866.

This hedge is blocking the footpath.Can a polite letter from highways ask if they could trim back because of the prickly nature of obstruction.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, concerning overgrown vegetation in this area. Whilst we appreciate your comments, as you are aware the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. It is therefore the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next month. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the months’ notice period.
