Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3270622.
The green road signs are very complicated for this busy junction . What motorist tend to look at as a last resort is the directional arrows on the road surface. All three lanes at the junction have an arrow pointing straight on so what they assume. I am on the A43 want to stay on the A43 so all three lanes take me to the exit for the A43. Then they find too late that the left lane takes them off the A43. I have seen this too many times, near misses as a lane switch at last moment. Please look at the situation as some one who is not familiar with this busy junction. I am very aware that the vehicle to my left is going to cut across my path others may not be. thanks

Thank you for your enquiry. A Northamptonshire Highways Inspector has reported that the road traffic signage and road markings are correct at this location. Improving the driving behaviour of motorists through West Northamptonshire is something that we endeavour to do and our police colleagues will contact us if they have any serious concerns about roads on our county’s network.
