Overgrown trees and bushes blocking path

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3292046.

Foot path is already uneven due to tree roots but bushes on opposite side are overgrown so cover the footpath. Trip hazard, have to walk in the road.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, concerning overgrown vegetation in this area. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Unfortunately it is therefore the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next two weeks. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the two weeks’ notice period.

  • 24/06 A further site visit has been carried out and the vegetation has not been cut back. Another letter has been sent and a further site visit will take place week commencing 11/07
