Vegetation and Weeds

Reported via desktop in the Weeds category anonymously at 12:18, Wednesday 9 February 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3300295.

Pavement has not been cleared for years now. Vegetation has been allowed to accumulate and now covers nearly half the path in places on the east side next to the cricket field and further down towards the town next to the stone wall. This, combined with increasing amounts of dog excrement makes using the pavement difficult and unpleasant. A mobility scooter overturned on the pavement recently when the old man tried to negotiate various obstacles on the pavement. If residents of new housing estate are to be encouraged not to drive into the centre of Rothwell the pavements need to be maintained and the vegetation lifted, not just sprayed with weed killer
