Trees overhanging whilton rd blocking half the carriage way dirt mud rotting leaves across at least half the road

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3307026.

I am unable to drive down whilton rd on the correct side as trees overhanging are to low along the kerb there is rotting leaves mud at least two feet out making road very slippy. Kerb cleaning lorry will not be able to drive along kerb to clean as trees are over hanging to low. Fly tipping is now begining under the trees on the road

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.
