30 accidents in 5 years at this junction

This has got to be the most dangerous junction in Northampton. Just last week there were three serious accidents where all cars involved were written off and people hurt. Why is it so hard to get some traction and action for this problem? I’m told repeatedly that highways consider it a low priority but we believe there to be over 30 accidents since 2018 because this junction is not properly managed. Problems are: - lane too narrow for two way traffic yet no one will accept this - cars coming up hill do not stop at junction - cars on main road (welders road) going too fast to see and stop for cars pulling out.
We have already had two children struck by cars on this section of road in recent years. Is it going to take one of our community to get killed before this gets sorted out?
