Uneven path caused by tree

Reported via mobile in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 16:36, Saturday 5 March 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3364831.

The tree outside No. 134 has got so big it takes up more than half of the path and the tree routes have caused a large bump in the path. This needs sorting as it impedes vulnerable users from using the path.

  • I cannot understand why you don’t have safety concerns about this tree and it’s effect on the path. You can see from the attached photo how the path / tree seriously impedes my son in his wheelchair and my blind sister has almost banged her head whilst trying to get by the tree. Some elderly people in the area have also expressed concern.

  • Is anyone actually reading my concerns or looking at the photos? So far it appears there have been two automatic, identical responses which doesn’t instil confidence anyone is actually taking this report seriously. Surely there are statutory minimum requirements for footpath access for all users (disabled, prams etc.)? There is also the issue that the tree is so big and tall, it poses a real risk of damage to nearby properties should it be damaged by severe weather etc. PLEASE ADDRESS THE ISSUE!
