Many pot holes on a large speed hump ,outside lodge park sports centre

There are at least 20 potholes if not more , it is like driving over the moon .

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of this section of Shetland Way. We are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • I know this has been reported before but it's getting worse. The holes are over a very large area, not only outside the sports centre, but also outside the senior school next to it. It's dangerous for people on cycles and I have seen people in cars mount the pavement to avoid all the potholes here.

  • Thank you for your further comments. In some cases, we are able to attend before this prospective time; however, at this time, we have no further information other than the timescale given above. Our Community Steward has re-inspected the site and the defect hasn’t worsened at this time. However, please be assured that we will continue to monitor the area closely.
