Drain is blocked causing water to overflow

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3390929.

The drain has been blocked for some time causing water to over flow and run down the road which is a danger on the frosty mornings - drain also appears to have sunk slightly

  • This is still a problem with water pouring over the road and turning to ice. A cyclist came to grief this morning, it is an unexpected and dangerous hazard

  • A pothole has now formed around the drain but can be difficult to see as it has filled with water.

  • A large pothole has now formed around the water filled and overflowing drain - anyone standing at the nearby bus stop will get soaked with the water if a vehicle goes over it!

  • Further subsidence of the road surface around the drain poses an immediate risk for all road users - the pothole appears to be further enlarged with no remediation from the council.
