Immovable blockage in pipes leaving drain
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 15:53, Wed 16 March 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3393519.
The photo is of the drain. Further up all of the drains take flood water and you can hear it gurgling through the pipes. At the water reaches this drain it all pours out again and floods the road, often severely. The pipe from this drain is blocked in such a way that it cannot be cleared by the drain cleaning crew, who have been called out repeatedly for years. They can tell you it cannot be cleared. Someone was sent out from the council and couldn't see the blockage, which is under the road where a pipe is damaged. He probably couldn't see it because he didn't bring X-ray goggles to see the damaged and completely blocked pipe under the road. It needs a remote camera through the pipes and then the road dug up.
