  It's true that someone has put a collection of planks and blocks under the stile, but none of it is secured or properly fixed and is probably less safe than if there was nothing there. The field is not stock proof anyway, so the simple answer is just to remove the two fence rails altogether.

• Thank you for your enquiry. This footpath was inspected on 7/4/22. A letter has been sent to the relevant landowner requesting that the stile at this location is replaced within the next 28 days. Customer Update- the landowner has provided a crossing point over the fence at this location. Customer Update 24/5/22. As requested, the landowner has removed the stile and section of fence to create a gap for pedestrians to use.
