Verge between Siddons Way and Overstone Road being parked and driven on
Reported via desktop in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category by Hannah Watt at 10:01, Wed 20 April 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3470059.
The verge between Siddons Way and Overstone Road is being used as parking by cars, vans etc and the gas mains are under the verge. There has been numerous gas leaks due to this. The verge is being used as a cut through from Overstone Road. They mount the pavement from Overstone Road and cut across the verge to access Siddons Way. They cannot see who them may be running into doing this and children pay in the cul de sac. These 2 issues have also been documented and reported to the police. Signage would not be respected and it is important that bollards are installed at end near 10, 11 & 12 both on Siddons Way to prevent parking and access to Siddons from Overstone. It would also be useful to have a few bollards on Overstone road at that end to prevent cars using it as cut through or parking on verge from that access.
