Over grown bushes
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 14:54, Monday 16 May 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3529341.
Property that has been empty for approx 3 years, at the front of the property is a copper beach hedge which has grown unchecked and is now almost blocking the entire pavement making it difficult for people to get passed especially those using mobility aids or using push chairs or prams.of a lesser concern it is an eyesore and at present due to the time of year is growing rapidly. i am not sure if highways is the correct department to deal with this , if not could you direct this message to the correct department. i would also like to know if anything can be done about a garden at the property which is vastly overgrown (weeds & brambles 10 ft high) which are damaging our fences and encouraging vermin (rats) leading us to have to stop feeding birds.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.
