Pedestian crossing or slow down markings and sign needed on Hawk Road Daventry

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3533563.

The traffic turns very fast from Hawk Road onto Trafalgar way and Trafalgar Way onto Hawk road. There is a school and children and parents use it to get to school but they have to cross the street at the end of Hawk Road (near 42 Hawk Road) there have been many near misses and today there was an accident there. Traffic calming/warning needed as well as a safe pedestrian crossing needed.

  • Following a site visit and an internal review, a decision has been made to introduce some additional road safety measures in the vicinity of this junction. The proposed works now need to be designed and scheduled.
