Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3562317.
The Wood Burcote Road was scheduled to reopen today. All "Road Closed" signs have been removed. It clearly isn't open and looks no where near ready to reopen

I cycled to Towcester via Slapton from Buckingham today. I traveled along Highfield road in Towcester and turned right towards Wood Burcote and had planned to go to Whittlebury. Between Highfield and onto Burcote Road there was no signs to inform me that Burcote Road is shut and impassable. It wasn’t until the embankment appeared across the old road did I realised it was impossible to progress along this road due to road building works. I have since looked at One.network and there is nothing on their website to even warn you of any closure. What is going on?

I was travelling down Wood Burcote road earlier. There were NO Road Closed signs and so I continued driving and then my car careered off the road down a massive ledge/bank and landed with a big bang and then I was in the middle of roadworks, where I was approached by one of the contractors who advised that there were road closed signs. There wasn't. I then turned around and just about was able to get my car back up the ledge/bank, but not without several bangs to the suspension. Who do I complain about this as I now have to get my suspension fixed? If there had been road closed signs, it would be my own error, but as it stands, I will be expecting the council to cover these costs to my vehicle

Road still closed. Road works should have finished on 30 May 2022. There is no reference to road works on this road, when checked.

Thankyou for contacting the Council regarding these works. Having spoken to the developer concerned the signs had been removed in error. The road is not going to reopen as in its previous form. There is a turning head being constructed to facilitate the Towcester relief road construction. Yours sincerely

The signs weren't removed in error, they were removed when the works should have been completed i.e. 30th May 2022. There is still no roadworks or closures showing on the one.network website. The road should be open.

Also, as there were no signs warning of a road closure, who do I have to complain to who can pay for my suspension to be fixed after flying off a ravine into these works??
