Overgrown trees are obstructing the footpath. the derelict house, 23 High Street South, Rushden has overgrown trees hanging over the footpath and pedestrians have to walk on the road as the trees hang very low.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.
