Design of floor stops ground loop activating

Reported via desktop in the Signal Stuck category anonymously at 08:20, Wednesday 8 June 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3579702.

Hello,

I have needed to use this traffic light for 2 years since moving to Kingsway area and since I have been here the traffic light has been an issue and every other day it gets stuck on Red. I raised a complaint here and it carried on happening. Now I realise as I have learnt more about traffic lights that the ground loop exists. The problem is that the ground loop is in front of a random line on the floor from a resurfacing that has happened and everybody waits behind this second line instead of the invisible white line on the floor (as all traffic lines have faded)

Can all the lines please be repainted and a top-of-traffic-light sensor be added too as I have been waiting there for 10+ minutes some days waiting for the light to change... People and even Police just drive through the Red light if its there too long which is a safety hazard.

If the light from Kingsway doesnt activate then the opposite side doesnt activate either (they also wait a half a meter behind the ground loop) so both sides are having to cut into traffic
