Trees growing near Drayton allotments along Yeomanry Way in Daventry. I have plot nr 26

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 15:55, Tue 14 June 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3596369.

About the trees growing near Drayton allotments along Yeomanry Way in Daventry. I have plot nr 26 and together with other allotment users we have concerns about trees beeing to close to our plots and therefore big part of them is shaded and not much is growing there. If these trees can be pruned that will be of great help.

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Work to highway trees is undertaken for safety reasons and limited essential work within available budgets and with regard to the care and protection of the tree. Where trees are concerned there is no right to light. Highways is not required or obliged in respect of any law to prune a tree for the benefit of someone's level of light. Therefore, whilst sympathetic, we do not undertake tree work to facilitate light to either land (gardens etc) or property.
