We have had root ingress to our property from the trees at the front.

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 16:42, Tue 14 June 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3596530.

57 Irthlingborough Road, Finedon NN9 5EJ We have had root ingress to our property from the trees at the front. The Council has never responded to have them removed and we are now having to have piling to the property frontage. However, the branches are causing a problem for both myself and neighbour, which have grown nearly to the property, but is also causing a canopy in which makes the inside of the property so dark. This is now having an adverse effect on my health. Could someone meet me at our property and discuss what needs to be done as a matter of urgency. Thank you

  • I have contacted you many times at number 55 about this tree. I had to go through my insurance to have the front of my property fixed with piling due to your tree which you continue to avoid responsibility for. My premiums have now significantly increased. You were sent all the evidence from ground tests from my insurance and still decline to accept responsibility. They have sent you a legal letter stating it is your responsibility and you still refuse to do anything about this tree. It is on council land = your tree. My mental health is being severely affected by this long term ongoing issue. The branches are now pushing against my guttering, roof and windows. My daughter is terrified by the scraping noise on the glass and can’t open her windows due to the branches. This tree needs removing as it is severely affecting both myself and my neighbours at number 57.
