SAFETY ISSUE -foliage forcing walkers into road

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 05:53, Thursday 23 June 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3616841.

The causeway across Ravensthorpe Reservoir is narrow with restricted views and a speed limit. The foliage on both sides of the road has grown very fast this year, not helped by insufficient trimming last year. There have been many near misses between both cars and humans and between cars where the foliage is not allowing the full potential of the road to be used. There is nowhere for pedestrians to get out of the carriageway, even though it is very popular with walkers and birdwatchers. The land owner is Anglian Water. The foliage needs cutting back to the concrete safety fenceposts with urgency.
