Thank you for your enquiry. As there is no vehicle weight restriction in place at this location, we can only endeavour to source temporary ‘Unsuitable for Heavy Goods Vehicles‘ plastic advisory signs, and put one up on the public highway at the entrance to Grange Park. This sign would be advisory only and therefore in the longer term we would suggest that if the locally elected Councillor for this area of Northampton has received similar concerns from other residents and there is a strong opposition within the community for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) over 7.5t in weight using Grange Park, then further steps can be made by the local highway authority should the area be considered for vehicle weight restrictions (and all the consultation, legal work, costs and resources required to install such vehicle restrictions on the public highway etc.).
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
