The absence of a drain adjacent to the Street Bench on this corner
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 14:58, Thu 30 June 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3637196.
During rainfall, anyone waiting near this bench to cross the road will be drenched because the water lies into the roadway by at least two yards. The drain located on your maps has, either no active gully, or maybe does not even exist. After closing the road for seven weeks I felt sure that the issue would be resolved, BUT I am now unceratain! The Kier Group and council websites are non specific in what was being done and now a leaflet drop has occurred to say that surfacing work is to be done. Has the drainage issue been ignored?

Thank you for your enquiry. The side entry gully was jetted and cleaned as part of the Booth Lane South scheme on the 11-05-22. The gully was confirmed running with no issues.

At the junction Wellingborough Rd and Booth Lane South there are discarded barriers, diversion and slippy road signs, sandbags etc at each approach to the junction traffic light causing abstraction on the verges and pathways. Can you help with this?
