Overgrown overhanging branches on rd and properties

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3642906.

The tree needs cutting back, very close to telephone lines. It a hurry tree, causing lots of mess to paths and people's driveways and vehicles.

  • Thank you for your enquiry concerning vegetation growing close to power cables. Whilst we appreciate your comments, there is no legal requirement to remove or even prune trees for the benefit of overhead cables. If the tree is growing very close to, through or affecting overhead lines you should contact the relevant utility company. Nevertheless, we have investigated the condition of the vegetation itself and can confirm that is it of no safety concern for the highway user.
