Damage to road surface along Ashburnham Road, especially outside number 34
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:25, Tue 5 July 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3650523.
The road surface in this part of Ashburnham Road has been steadily degenerating over several years. The tarmac, which does not go to the edge of the kerb on either side of the street, is breaking down in places. This means that the large cobbles are exposed and the mortar holding them in place is being broken down by traffic resulting in them becoming loose and displaced. These large loose cobbles have become a risk to road users.
