Thorn bush overgrown

Reported via mobile in the Weeds category anonymously at 22:40, Tuesday 5 July 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3652736.

The thorn bush is over growing into our garden over the wall and as much as I try to keep this under control, it just grows too quick. It was taken to the floor a few years back and that helped greatly. It would be very much appreciated if this could be done again. Many thanks.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Unfortunately it is therefore the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next two weeks. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the two weeks’ notice period.

  • Thanks for the update, anything you can do will be appreciated. It was done before although a number of years ago so ownership I am sure could have changed. I’ll wait to hear. Many thanks. Steve
