Risk of head on collision and overgrown vegetation
Reported via mobile in the Weeds category anonymously at 12:36, Wed 6 July 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3654455.
The vegetation behind the bliss close sign is overgrown so pulling out or onto the bliss close street from weedon road is dangerous. There is no longer a legal visibility splay when looking up the hill. This is a perfect storm for an accident when considering speeding cars on weedon road, delivery vehicles being parked on weedon road and foot traffic crossing the weedon road including children and the elderly. The issue with the vegetation has been since the vegetation has become overgrown (spring 2021). I am concerned the turning needs complete re-consideration including the bush removal behind a the bliss close sign (on the verge), a speed deterrent on the blind corner of weedon road near the footpath crossing, and some speed deterrent signage up the street (facing cars that are driving down the hill ie into the village) to remedy fully.

Photo to confirm the pedestrian crossing where a speed deterrence on the far verge (left of shot) near the guardrails would be beneficial. Photo also to show the blind corner referred to ahead of the bliss close turn (where the vegetation issue is reported). On the right side shows where vehicles park for deliveries. Speed limit at this point is 30mph but this is not sensible.
