Double gate. One with latch too low to reach from a horse and impossible to reach once inside the double gates.

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3657570.

Broken dropped second gate. Not enough room for one let alone two horses in between these two gates to turn and close the gates.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, site visited. Land owner has been contacted and works have been instructed for the dropped gate to be repaired, we have also enquired about getting a higher bridle latch installed to the other gate however the land owner has no legal obligation to do so.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 10:38, Saturday 6 August 2022

  • Nothing has changed. I believe gates on bridlleways should be able to be open from the back of the horse without dismounting. Neither of these gates can be opened whilst mounted. Also herds of loose horses make it dangerous to ride through this field
