Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later.
Despite the grass being cut, finally, the visibility on this junction is still poor caused by the hedges, they need to be cut back to allow for better visibility. Traffic often is faster than 50MPH limit on this road and this junction needs better visibility. Please consider taking some of the hedges back by one or two feet, this would make it far safer. While cutting the grass was helpful it does not solve the entire issue. Year by year these hedges are progressively encroaching on the road, a right hand turn on a fast road needs to be much better than this. Look at the stats for the frequent accidents here. THANK YOU

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.
