Trees overgrown and overhanging

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:43, Wed 27 July 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3710718.

There are trees outside the four houses on Waveney Close that are overhanging the paths for the houses and pedestrians to use. They are very big trees so may need further inspection.

  • This is now over the 12 weeks for works being carried out.

The leaves have all fallen and without the weight the branches are now not overhanging the path in the way of pedestrians. However this problem will return next year once the leaves come back.

  • We are now quite a way on from the 12 week deadline you advised, with no actual update. Is anyone able to advise?

Although during the winter the leaves aren't weighing the branches as much it is still an issue and will be worse come Spring 2023.

  • Just wondering if there are any plans to carry out this work?

  • This is still an issue. The trees currently have no leaves and are now at head height causing pedestrians to have to move out of the way. Once the tree has leaves this will cause the path to become blocked.

The issue has now been up for 38 weeks and we were initially told ot would be resolved in 12? Does anyone read these issues?
