Thank you for your enquiry. These lines were removed as part of the 2020-2021 Northampton Maintenance Order. From our records we were contacted by one of the residents in 2021 regarding these lines being ‘refreshed’ and who did not believe they should be there. We confirmed that we had no legal Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for the double yellow lines (we also have no record of an order for the original line painting) so removal of the unofficial lining was issued as part of our maintenance de-clutter programme. Historically it seems that the lines had been there on and off since 2009 but the local highway authority have never had any record of a TRO for them. If you wish to submit a formal request for lines to be added at this location with a TRO to make them enforceable, then we would suggest that the following link on the West Northamptonshire Council website gives details on how yourself and other concerned residents can request for new parking restrictions at this location: Request new parking restrictions | West Northamptonshire Council (westnorthants.gov.uk).
