Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category by Colin France at 09:47, Fri 5 August 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3732431.
The hedge is very overgrown and need to be cut. Causing the footpath to become very narrow and dangerous in places. Also there is a SCHOOL road sign which is totally overgrown and not visible. Something needs to be done NOW

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowners to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the residents requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.

I see that some of the hedge has been cut between the Cottages and the bus stop but the rest down as far as Charlton Way has not been touched. There is actually a sign hidden and obscured from view of the traffic for the SCHOOL. See attached photos. When is the rest going to be cut back. It is difficult to walk 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ along the path as you are almost in the road because the footpath is so narrow
