Pavement at risk due to construction work

Reported via mobile in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 08:20, Thursday 11 August 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3746118.

As part of building work (apparently for a new house) at No. 39 Newington Road, a deep (approx 1.5 m) trench has been dug right up to the edge of the pavement. This appears to be undermining the pavement leading to a risk of collapse. There is no shoring in the trench. This site is clearly affecting the highway and public health and safety.
