Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3756411.

Overhanging trees has caused significant loss of natural light to the property where previously it had it.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation here. We have conducted a site visit and can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns relating to this issue that warrant further action at this time. As the vegetation is not causing a safety issue with the highway user. In law there has been no tested case to prove or disprove right to light and as such there is no absolute right to light, to either land or property. Whilst we are sympathetic, we do not undertake tree works to facilitate light to either land (gardens, etc) or property (houses, conservatories, solar panels etc). Apologies that we are unable to assist further.
