Road markings fading
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 14:54, Fri 19 August 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3767002.
The road markings on the junction of Tennyson Road and Wordsworth Road are starting to fade and, although visible, many drivers think that the main road continues straight on, i.e. towards the end of Tennyson Road. I have seen many vehicles reversing back into Tennyson Road and then turning right into Wordsworth Road. The problem was very obvious last Sunday when the Police had closed Braunston Road and they were directing drivers onto Shakespeare Avenue - a high proportion of them went straight ahead at the junction and round Spenser Crescent to re-join Tennyson Road. Can a signpost be installed at the junction to indicate that the top of Tennyson Road is a dead end (but there is a turning before it to Spenser Crescent)? Thank you
