Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 20:30, Saturday 27 August 2022

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3785225.

Unicorn Hotel on Churchill Way and Bridge St, Brackley. There is a large branch of a tree, which is growing over the pavement on Churchill Way. There are brambles and very long grass outside the abandoned “ Unicorn Hotel”. This is unsightly and restricts Drivers’ vision as they come out onto Bridge Street.

Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowners to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the residents requesting that the vegetation is cut back more within the next 14 days.

  • The grass has been strimmed, but we now have straw covering the pavement! Tree has not been tackled yet!
