Subsidence on Hunsbury Park Road

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3824290.

On Hunsbury Hill Road between Reedhill and Southcrest the road is subsiding on the left hand side northbound and this has been fixed before but is happening again and is even worse. it is affecting the road and pavement.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention, regarding this section of Hunsbury Hill Road. We are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • Could you tel when this will be atended to please? This is getting worse and my wife has just jarred her spine on it despite driving reducing speed over it. Thank you.

  • The big dip in the road on Hunsbury Hill Road is getting worse. There is also a cracking in the tarmac. It causes vehicles to jolt badly. There is a yellow marking round it but it has been there so long it is almost worn out. I really think that the area might sink and cause an accident.
