Pedestrian crossing operating automatically, causing traffic delays

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3837535.

The lights are operating the pedestrian crossing on each cycle, causing excessive delays to road traffic and frequent running of red lights by drivers. Please can this be reviewed, the road is busy but the crossing is not.

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention, regarding your concerns relating to the operation of the traffic signals here. We can confirm that an Engineer has attended site on 21/09/2022 and could find no fault with the signals. The crossing is operating within design intent.
