The Road is Collapsing

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3853017.

The Road outside of the Hind Hotel is in a terrible state. In several places there are loose bricks and rubble. When Vehicles drive over these areas pieces of debris are sent flying towards the Footway on both sides, and into the Pedestrianised Market Street area. I have been stuck by flying debris at this location. I fear that someone may be hurt or even blinded by this happening. Or a Shop Window could be broken. Also Motorcyclists and Cyclists are being put at risk by these crumbling holed surfaces.

We are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • This area needs fixing urgently. It is now unsafe to use a cycle across it and is becoming very unsafe for motorcycles

  • It has now been 6 Months since I made this report, I was told it would be "tended to" within 13 weeks. Its now been 24 weeks! When will these repairs take Place ?
