Overgrown hedgerow still posing a serious danger
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 23:18, Wed 28 September 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3855953.
A previous report regarding this overgrown hedgerow seems to have been closed, as though ‘contacting the landowner’ resolved the issue. This hedgerow is still significantly overgrown, encroaching at least a foot onto an already narrow, but 2-way, road. Furthermore, it hangs too low for highway requirements. Passing safely is now impossible. This hedgerow is at the site of a t-junction and speed bumps, sending drivers who are leaving the village onto the wrong carriageway at a hazardous point. A road accident will occur, it is only a matter of time. Traffic here is now heavier due to HS2 works closing the B4525 at times. This case needs to be reopened and dealt with appropriately as it is clear the owner of the land has not acted on instruction so far.
