KU15 through Saucebridge Farm to woods, not correctly marked or made through woods
Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 11:57, Thu 29 September 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3856732.
KU15 public right of way has signage that is incorrect at beginning of path from road and when it goes through the woods there is no definition of where the footpath is or boundry fencing etc and people are wandering into the farmers land and leaving gates open to livestock fields. Farmer has done his best to control by putting up styles. sign at bottom with map needs to be amenda as it is directing people the wrong way and a path clearly defined and signposted through woods so people don't come into farmyard.

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - We can confirm that a site meeting was undertaken with tenant farmer on the 20th of October. At this meeting it was explained that that current Definitive Map shows Public Footpath KU15 on the track up and through the farmyard. It then goes through the field gates and into the owners field. It appears that there is some dispute that this is the correct line of the footpath. Should you wish for further clarification regarding this issue, please contact the Definitive Map Team at West Northants Council via DefMap.NCC@westnorthants.gov.uk . This team will be able to provide you with a copy of the current Definitive Map showing the location of this footpath. If you believe details contained within the Definitive Map are incorrect, you can apply for a Definitive Map Modification Order (DMMO) via the Definitive Map Team.
