All the trees in hole street are over grown.
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 09:02, Wed 19 October 2022
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3899179.
Trees need pollarding. They have been there 20 years plus now and it is time they are kept under control. 1.The payment is bucking up 2. The sunlight is being cut from the house 3. The leaves in autumn are voluminous and drop on the pavement, making it dangerous to slipping and making access difficult. They also blow into our property.
We all don’t mind having to clear up a reasonable amount but with I’ll health now I can not manage the onslaught of leaves. Please come and pollard them. Thank you.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding the leaf litter adjacent to Surtees Way, we can confirm that this has been reported to the street cleaning team, at West Northamptonshire Council (Reference: REP157207). For any further queries please contact them directly on 0300 126 7000. Where trees are concerned there is no ‘right-to-light’. West Northamptonshire Highways are not required or obliged in respect of any law to prune a tree for the benefit of someone’s level of light. Whilst sympathetic we do not undertake tree works to facilitate light to either land (gardens, etc) or property (houses, conservatories, etc). A tree report will be carried out by our specialist arboriculturist contractor. Any recommended tree works identified in the report will be programmed to be carried out; this should be concluded within two months’ time. Regarding the footpath, we can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns that meet our repair criteria, at this time. However, please be assured that we will continue to monitor the area more closely as part of our routine inspections.
