Hello, The whole of MIDLAND ROAD HIGHAM FERRERS need’s resurfacing. There are numerous issues such as:
ROAD SURFACE - the road surface has loose stones and has numerous potholes, the potholes has damaged my vehicle, specifically my wheel, I have also experienced stone chips to my vehicle from the loose surface. There also could be issues with the curb on the church side of the road, they may have dipped. Corrugation, pot holes, loose surface, slippery, clear zone issues, Fatigue (alligator) cracking, Edge road cracks and crazing are examples of what can be found on this road.
ROAD MARKINGS - Road markings have faded and when it rains you cannot see the curb and or road markings as water comes onto the road and comes up above the curb on the same side of the road as the church, slippery when wet sings required.
DRAINAGE - There are limited drains along this road which are either blocked and or unable to keep up with the heavy rain, this road floods numerous times a year, there are trees on the side of the road nearest to the church, it needs more drains.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE - Trees, grass shrubs etc need cutting back, they overhang and fall onto the road and pathway making the limited grip even slippier.
NEW DOUBLE YELLOW MARKINGS - Something needs to be done about vehicles parking on both sides of the road especially near junctions, the road is narrow enough with pedestrian crossings / right of way access, it has caused standing traffic in the past due to this.
Please close off this road for urgent maintenance
