Footpath overgrown & slippy

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4019195.

Hedge overgrown, not been cut back for several years, so path becoming only passable single file. footpath covered in years of leaves so very muddy now

  • Foot path becoming muddier and extra slippy due to all the leaves and old foliage on the path combined with the recent weather. Path needs digging out of the undergrowth and hedge cutting right back, so the width is passable again.

  • Investigation: Completed (Reported to another department within NNC) - Regarding the leaf litter adjacent to Braybrooke Road, we can confirm that this has been reported to the street cleaning team, at North Northamptonshire Council (Reference: MK477745714). For any further queries please contact them directly on 0300 126 3000. Regarding the hedge, we have conducted a site visit and can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns relating to this issue that warrant further action at this time. As the vegetation is not causing a safety issue with the highway user, no further action will be taken.
