Large pothole just after crossing

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4155172.

Pothole here for roughly one week. It is getting bigger. It is in an awkward position near a school and many cyclist use this road.

  • This pot hole is actually a sunken gully, obviously not compacted properly and now settling affecting both sides of the carriageway definitely can damage car wheels let alone cycle wheels , danger to road users

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding this section of Cottingham Road, we are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.
