Extremely large pothole causing flat tyre

Extremely large/deep pothole going from Cranford St Andrew to the Geddington/Warkton crossroads. Due to oncoming traffic was unavoidable causing me to hit the hole and cause flat tyre. Very dangerous. I drive this road home every weekday from work and its got very big very quickly with the recent weather. Unable to take photo of hole as continued slowly to safer place to stop and change tyre in below freezing temperatures and the road was completely dark as its a unlit country road. There are also numerous other potholes along this stretch of road nearer the verges.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Firstly, we are sorry to hear about your tyre. The carriageway defect doesn’t meet the criteria for an urgent repair, however based on the new information we have received, we have carried out an assessment and can confirm that a Community Steward has made a semi-permanent repair. A permanent repair will be carried out in the next six months and you will receive an update once repairs have been completed.
