Gate is not horse friendly on bridleway
Reported via mobile in the Gate - Damaged/ Missing category anonymously at 16:25, Friday 3 February 2023
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 4201032.
Gate has been replaced but the second gate is not friendly for on horseback on this bridleway. The one by the road is ok but the second isn’t and neither are the next two either side of the bridge in the next field.

Site visited on Friday by County Access & bridleways Officer due to several complaints by local horse riders. This relates to case number 2253830 raise in Nov 2020. Original response stated that handles on first two gates from road of bridleway GA6 would be replaced. However it appears only handle (first gate) was done (see second photo). The second gate handle is still very difficult for riders to reach and open without dismounting unless on a small pony. Is it possible to replace the handle so it’s the same as first gate please.
